Senior Mobile App Developer (React Native, Native iOS & Android)

About Us

Heald is an innovative digital health platform committed to helping individuals reverse type 2 diabetes through engaging, personalized programs and lifestyle interventions. We are seeking a Senior Mobile App Developer with experience in React Native as well as native iOS and Android development. This role will be integral in shaping and scaling our mobile applications, ensuring seamless user experiences and expanding the reach of our real-time platform for tracking patient behavior and health metrics.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and maintenance of our mobile applications using React Native and native iOS/Android frameworks.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to create engaging and accessible mobile experiences.

Architect and build scalable, secure, and reliable mobile applications, with an emphasis on high performance and smooth UI/UX.

Integrate with back-end services, databases, and APIs to deliver real-time insights and personalized health content to users.

Conduct regular code reviews, provide technical mentorship to team members, and uphold best coding practices.

Write and maintain high-quality code with an emphasis on scalability, testability, and maintainability.

Perform end-to-end testing, including unit, integration, and UI testing, to ensure reliability across various devices and platforms.

Monitor app performance and user feedback, implementing updates and new features to enhance user experience.

Stay informed on mobile development trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure our applications are competitive and modern.

Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience in mobile app development, with a strong portfolio of React Native and native iOS/Android applications.

Expertise in React Native for cross-platform mobile development.

Proficient in Swift and Objective-C for iOS, and Java/Kotlin for Android.

Experience working with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and other data integration techniques.

Strong knowledge of mobile UI/UX principles and the ability to create visually appealing and intuitive interfaces.

Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment and maintain code quality.

Strong understanding of the mobile application lifecycle, including app store submission and management for iOS and Android platforms.

Experience with mobile performance optimization, memory management, and device-specific features.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

A passion for health and wellness; experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
